Peace & Love International would like to invite you to a one of a kind event that will leave you nothing short of inspired! Join us on January 24th at the Revel Room (located at 238 Abbott Street, Vancouver, BC ) to take a glance into the lives of some incredible Filipino children, living in stifling conditions, and help them break the cycle of poverty! Come view over 1000 photos taken by the children from the slum, read their life stories, and help make a difference!

In November and December 2009, in reaction to the the terrible typhoons which devastated the Southeast Asian country of the Philippines, Peace & Love International quickly dispatched an Agent of Change to fly to the disaster struck nation to experience the hardships first hand in order to plan a sustainable and empowering development project with some of the most impoverished people of the country under the guidance of the locals. The project which flowered, called Pictures of Perseverance, is a unique photography project in which Filipino children, from the impoverished slums of Navotas, captured photographs which show how poverty affects theirs lives, their families, and their community. On January 24th, their eye opening photographs will be exhibited for the public to see along side hand written biographies by each young photgrapher, sharing their life stories, dreams, and aspirations. Their photographs will be on sale by donation,
in order to raise funds for the children’s educational endeavors which have been made difficult due to the myriad of socio-economic difficulties that they face. Peace & Love International will be aiding the children’s education by building them a much needed computer centre in the Bagong Silang Squatter Area to be used for academic purposes by students in the community. 100% of the proceeds will go towards building this facility, called the Peace & Love Computer Centre.
